Kozhikode: The Kerala Police Officers Association has expressed serious concern over the attack by various students’ and youth organisations on police personnel during protest marches and demonstrations in recent times.
The association’s Kozhikode city committee president A. Hasinar and secretary T.K. Saumiyan said here on Thursday that leaders of political parties needed to take immediate steps to stop the violence against police force in the name of public protest. Sub inspector T.P. Jacob attached to the Kasaba station had sustained head injuries in stone-pelting by Kerala Students Union activists during a protest march in front the Deputy Director of Education office here on Wednesday.
